Coming Out on Top is the first gay dating sim/visual novel from Obscurasoft released on December 11, 2014. The game runs on Windows, Mac (10.6 or higher), and Linux. It can be purchased here for $18.99 (or $14.99 with the discount code CRWR006X1)
Gameplay
The game utilizes typical visual novel gameplay. The player clicks to move the text, graphics and sound until they're presented with a choice box. Choosing different options result in different outcomes and some lead into different endings.
The game allows for customizing Mark's name aswell as Slurpy's. It features the option to toggle facial and body hair on or off Mark and the pursuable guys. It also has the option to allow the characters to wear condoms during the sex scenes. The game has a CG gallery where all the CG scenes are collected after being unlocked.
Story
The game follows Mark Matthews, a college student who decides on his last year of college to come out to his friends Penny and Ian and hit the dating scene. Mark has up to six potential full romance options to pursue and ten one-off dates.
